Dastur's Letter`of 12/28/89 This letter is being written to complete the follow-up to the hazard determination and development of control programs as prescribed in the EQC Guidelines II C-l, "Control of Carcinogenic, Reproduction and Developmental Risks Posed by Chemicals Made or Used within Du Pont," Your letter of December 28 and P, G. Gilby's letter of October 18, 1989 indicate that C&P Department (Chambers Works) and all plants worldwide with the potential for occupational exposure to lead are now reviewing their blood-lead data and will begin development of control plans aimed at achieving the new blood-lead goal of less than 15 ug/dl for all females of child bearing capability and of less than 35 ug/dl for all other employees. Additionally, you indicated that the toxicological data for lead have been communicated to all concerned employees. Based on this information, we believe the communications and control programs for lead are appropriate. B,. W.
