January 9* 1936 # 1*07 Dayton, Ohio Dear Mr* Coles I received a report of your chest x-ray this morning and as I expected, no evidence of any organic disease was found in your chest* This leaves me quite certain that the opinion which I expressed to you when you were here is correct* So far as I can see, your present illness Is due practically exclusively to your upper respiratory infection and I think that with the subsidence of that condition, you will be quit ready to resume employment. However, your immediate condition requires some treatment and I am taking the liberty of sending you a prescription for some capsules which I have found very'effective in helping to eliminate a cold which has persisted for some time. I would suggest that you have this prescription filled and that you make use of it according to the following instructions: Take one of the capsules when you go to bed at night, and if you rest well do not take any more. However, if your cough disturbs you greatly and if you have difficulty In sleeping, take on more capsule after two hours or more, X suggest that you rest, that you avoid exposure to the weather, and that you otherwise take care of yourself as well as you can until this cold clears up.
