L .. we checked the price, reporting that the think tank Resources for the Future is launching a major project to update the social cost of carbon measure, even as the Trump administration follows through with earlier pledges to scrap it by dropping its (use from a high-profile environmental review of a coal mining project.
(Up on Capitol Hill, House appropriators are preparing potentially sharp questions for jEPA Administrator Scott Pruitt over the Trump administration's steep proposed cuts {for the agency in fiscal year 2018, in testimony that will be his first since he was {confirmed to lead the agency.
In state news, observers are debating the relative importance of recent state and local announcements to support the Paris Agreement, with some calling them an important "statement of commitment," while others say they are "not really news" because those (areas were "already enthusiastic" about climate action.
