Mr. Ralph C Bursiek Executive V i cc President and
Vice Pres ident for Business Affairs University of Cincinnati Cincinnati, Ohio 43221
Dear Mr. Bursiek:
I enclose he rc.vith copies of letters which, when acted upon by the
appropriate authorities of the University will serve to renew the
agreement be tween the International Lead Zinc Research Organization,
Inc. and thd University,, This is not the usual form of such agreements
entered intcj by the University, chiefly because it is addressed to
s been for a number of years. (The International Lead
Zinc Research Organization, Inc. represents Lead Industries Association,
Ethyl Corpor ation, E.I. duPont deNemours, and Associated Octet Company,
Ltd. (London ) for the purposes of this agreement, these industrial
organi zation s having agreed to pool their funds for their mutual
convenience,!) The renewal of the agreement has been initiated tardily
by the Research Organization because of some abrupt changes in its
personnel in| New York, but the support for the project has not been
interrupted.!
".
!) For the better ihformation of all concerned, and considering my somewhat unusual relationship with this Department of Environmental Health, I have brought this entire matter (previous policies, etc.) to the attention of Dr. Foulkes, who has signified his approval of my action and relations hip by countersigning this letter.
If you will retain your copy of this, after such action as the Hoard oi Directors choose, to take, and return the other copies to me, I shall comply with the request of the donor for their copies, and will also prepare for Dr. Foulkes' files copies of this and previous related agreements, as well as a copy of the attached proposal and those of previous years. I shall also follow my prior practice of providing copies for the office of the Deaxi of the Medical College. I have shortcircuited the latter, for the moment, as a matter of dispatch.
| Sincerely yours,
RAKrwp enclosures
