During the fiscal year, April 1, 1949 - Sferch 31, 1950, our Laboratory Section performed the following number of chemical analyses for lead determinationj Blood........ 110 Urine * 83 These samples were submitted from 118 persons* Prom some a sample or samples of blood only were submitted* Prom ethers, a sample or samples of .urine only were submitted* From some, samples of both urine and blood were submitted*< Each case from whom a sample was submitted was "followed up" by interview with physicians, medical record librarians, or chiefs of clinics, and in 55 cases a diagnosis of lead poisoning was clinically justified.
