He will follow with correspondence regarding this matter.__________________________________ Don reports that the Knoxville Power Board recently held up a bid on capacitors until Westinghouse covered the disposal situation. He reports that the Doble Co. have formed a committee to study the PCB problem and are going to come up with a poslstion regarding this matter. Me Clain recommends that we contact Doble and points out that "anythig that you tell them may be used against you - and probably will*1'. The utility industry according to Me Clain is "living from hand to mouth1* regarding capacity. Capacitors are the key. Thus if Monsanto should cbt off the Aroclor supply the industry would need a long lead time to phase in some other impregnant. Otherwise there would be a snow ball effect^on the shortage of electrical generation capacity which could lead to seftlou; blackout problems. Me Clain feels that we need a forum on PCB. He suggest that there Is need for the Industry to sit down and discuss so that we present a united front on this matter.
