Thornton, This letter covers a test and the results of same which was performed by Du Pont for evaluation of airborne asbestos fibers generated from a hand-operated Yankee drill drilling into as bestos containing wallboard (Transite). They have asked for a procedure which Southern Bell in South Carolina will follow. Will you please provide the procedure for handling this type of drilling. I will be glad to forward it to Mr, Thornton if you so desire, and after approval will see that supervisors who are responsible are made aware of this procedure.
