Re: Analytical Report - West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection Analysis of Perfluorooctanoic Acid in Fish Samples Exygen Report No. L35217
Dear Sir/Madam:
Please find attached a copy of the above-identified Analytical Report. In summary, four different types of fish (catfish, sauger, common carp, hybrid striped bass) were provided to Exygen by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) for the purpose of analyzing for the presence of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). All samples analyzed were non-detect, with non-detect being less than LOQ (0.5C> ng/g). WVDEP has informed DuPont that the fish were obtained in the area of the Belleville Lock and Dam (mile point 203.9), which is located about 13 miles downriver from the Washington Works plant site (mile point 191).
