March 7, 1928 Mr. IS. w. Webb,. Ethyl Gasoline Corp., 25 Broadway, Hew York City* My dear Mr* Webb: . I am enclosing herewith and sending by special delivery, the remainder of the data on the monkeys which are being treated with Ethyl Gasoline. This I have regarded of sufficient importance to justify my digging it out in some detail. It is, I believe, the most conclusive evidence that Plinn's observations are incorrect. I can say nothing more with regard to FIinn s experi ments than I have already said. I am at a complete loss to ex plain how he may have gotten his results, for I do not under stand how they are even possible. I can only say that^in my own opinion the work was clone carelessly, and there is"no por tion of it at all that I can regard as being reliable, 'without meaning to be dishonest I think he is utterly unreliable not only in.what he does but what he says. Obviously such remarks as the above cannot be r;iade;public because they would be of greater dis advantage to me than they would to Flinn. However, 1 know of no way in which his work can be discussed, and in which it can be criticised, other than by the display of experimental evidence to the contrary. This I believe has been done both by myself and by the Bureau of Mines, so that any further statement from me in regard to his work is quit unnecessary. I trust that the information herein will be satisfac tory, and that it can b combined with the other material which I have previously given you on the same subject. Faithfully yours, EAKsEJ KF 0001299
