This meeting is primarily focused on whether API BZ TG will broaden its scope to include more than just tox work and who will represent Shell. I simply offered CAA RR as an example of an issue that the TG might be willing to explore if the scope is broadened. You are a key member of the Shell 8Z CAA RR team and the team would certainly decide together how best to progress an industry approach to benzene. There is a meeting of the API 8Z TG on Feb 23 for the first time in over a year. They have gone almost inactive since the Shanghai Study started. This is a "resuscitation" meeting with a discussion around whether to broaden the scope of the TG to work benzene issues generally and not just tox. I do not expect anything more from the meeting. If the TG gives a green light to a bigger scope of work, then we will start thinking more detailed about how to structure potentially a CAA RR effort. Merely asking me to drop by if I'm availble does not get it done. It is critical that I know what you and this new "group" are doing you know, the left hand knowing what the right is doing - if you want the effort to have some meaning for Shell. I've asked you before and I'm asking once more - please keep me in the loop if you want whatever work emanates from this group to have some impact on the R2 work that I'm doing.
