I. Injury & Exposure Trends
Injuries
- Team investigation recommendations - DWH to update. - Although not formally approved at time of meeting, depart mental programs were in place and going. - Supervisors to be added to first aid log distribution when injuries occur. - A lot of discussion occurred regarding the use of names on injury occurrence charts. It was decided to use the method plantwide. - As a whole, the group felt that the downward injury trend was due in part to increased emphasis. Attitudes also played a part in the trends.
Chemical Exposure
- WHMc will check on the accuracy of the VCM samples values. - PJK will review our overexposure concerns with a Line III Compounder.
II. Subcommittee Progress
- Interlock and Alarm Setpoint - Reactor interlocks are being checked now. - Vessel Blinding - As noted in agenda. - Tools - Chain falls are being tested. - Operations, Maintenance, Lab -
. DWH/PJK to plan unannounced drills . Casual VCM exposure control method to be developed by
DWH/CWT by 4/1/86. . Timing for mandatory training:
First Aid - February or during optional month. Hazard Communication - April Chlorine - May Health/Hygiene - September Fire - October . Chemical Transportation Incident Response Plan (CTIRP) Training on Plant Plan to be done some time this summer.

III. Department Safety Programs Discussed in Injury reviews above.
IV. Other - Respirator Program and 1986 Training Plans were discussed as noted in agenda. - The Safety awards issue was discussed relative to how we publicize our progress. JWW agreed to write some articles for publication in local papers.
