Mr. Waldrep presented estimates of field labor and materials .to complete the work. The effect to recent vari ances was presented to modify these figures where warranted. Orville Bremer has developed the following expected "70% estimate" costs: Capital $1,335,000 (incl. $28,000 contingencies) Expense $ 150,000 (Appropriation Adjusted for Transfer of $93,000 to CEA 1452: $1,30^,000 Capital 150,000 Expense) To date, we have absorbed some $70,000 of approved variances. Any further variances will exceed the appropriation. Concerning schedule, Mr. Waldrep advises us that the tank farm will be done 9/13 except for insulation, which will run into October. The two flakers and auxiliaries can be completed in October. Most items can be complete in mid-October, except for insulation running to the end of the month. The Dean plate coils shipping date has been moved from 10/18 to 10/11 by ex pediting except for one piece on tank 810 (still 10/18). Due to delays from the Toledo Scale strixe, completion of the drumming facilities will be January, 1969. I have recommended moving existing facilities to that site when insulation permits. The.70% estimate includes money for the tank farm oven, and Aroclor 1268 mill. Neither has been ordered since we are re solving technical aspects. . Now that the 70% estimate is finished, R. C.
