As you know, this case Involves the Monteagle silo Company, who allegedly erected the silo owned by Mr. Ernest Austin In Charlotte, North Carolina. It Is the plaintiff's allegation that the coating used on the Inside of the silo, contained PCB's, which came from your Aroclor 1254 and that they contaminated Mr. Austin's silage. As a result of our Investigation into the case, we have recently been advised by the plaintiff's attorneys, Henderson and Shuford, that the plaintiff first dis covered the problem on June 10, 1971. and that his loss of use of this silo started on that date. As your coverage with Liberty Mutual terminated on March 1, 1971 I feel that this case should be properly handled by Travelers, as it would appear that all damages stem from the June 10, 1971 date.
