I was asked about this and I made a note to myself to check on the matter. Unfortunately, my note contains no reference to the source of the inquiry, and I've been spreading myself around in several places lately, so that my recollection of the occasion and of the person is not clear. I now have the informa tion and I'm not sure to whom to send it. In any case my informant has recommended a "Tornado" motor unit, mounted on a "Barrel Dolly", manufactured by the Breuer Electric Manufacturing Company at 5100 N, Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 6o64o. (This company can put you in touch with the nearest supplier of this Equipment.) The purchaser of this equipment has problems similar to yours, and maintains that this equipment is doing an adequate job. If I am wrong in deciding that you raised the question just ignore this letter. If, however, I am correct, and if you obtain this or similar equipment, I'd like to know how it works out. This is not an easy function to fulfill, and while, in a sense, it is not my problem, but $ts rather a technical or engineering problem, I attempt to get as much information on such matters, especially those that relate to practical perform ance, as I can. When I wrote last to Mr. Gittes, I suggested to him, that in my view you should look carefully into the possi bility that the effluent from your stacks and other sources of fume, smoke and dust may be contaminating Mr. Werley's pastures. This might be his next means of attacking you. In any case, this is something which you should be prepared to guard against as insurance for the future.
