New Haven, Conn, ii February i 9 1932 Dear Dr. Winslows On my return th is morning from Kansas City I m s asked to meet Mr, H. S. Simpson, the President of the Foundry Equipment Manu facturers* Association of Cleveland. Mr. Simpson i s also P resi dent of the National Engineering Company of Chicago, manufactur ing the so-called shake-out equipment for foundries. Mr. C. E. Hoyt, the Manager of the Amerioan Foundrymen*s Associa tion , was also present at the conference and both these gentlemen told me that th9 whole foundry industry is much disturbed about the accuracy of the study report of the Committee on Health Pro tection in Air Pressure Cleaning, I have discovered that iur. Ohlson, of the Amerioan Foundrymen*s Association w ill be unable to attend the suggested February 23 meeting in New Yorkj I disoovered that the representative of the National Foundrymen*s Association is dead, and so far we have re ceived only three le tte r s from the committeemen in answer to the suggestion for a February 23 meeting. I sh all be in Cleveland tomorrow, but towards the end of the week w ill write you again on the to ta l response to the suggested Feb ruary 23 meeting. It looks to me now as thought vie might ju di ciously postpone the February 23 meeting fo r, say, a month or more u n til we oan hear something more from these foundry people. - Sincerely yours, } ?
