At the January 2018 Hypoxia 1ask Force meeting, AA Ross requested and the Task Force agreed to
hold a series o f webinars to take a "deep dive" into state nutrient reduction strategies and learn about
best practices for engaging a broad group o f partners and stakeholders to make progress. This webinar
would be the first in the series; Illinois has volunteed to present. This meeting must take place prior to
the September 17-18 Hypoxia Task Force meeting in Baton Rouge, when the Task Force wall assess
this efficacy of this approach lor spurring progress and may then schedule additional state strategy
webinars.

AA Ross will provide opening remarks for this webinar during which representatives from Illinois will discuss partnerships and implementation support for the State Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy. The strategy is one o f three HTF state strategies based on a specific science assessment. A Policy Working Gioup comprised of stakeholders from federal and state agencies, industry, agriculture, wastewater treatment agencies, and non-governmental organizations developed the strategy and oversee its
