Dear Bob:
Following our phone conversation last Friday, I have put together a list of the countries for which we want medical clearance for the use of TML in gasoline. I have arranged these in order of importance as they look to us now and have also in dicated the oil companies who have the principal interest in each of these countries. This does not mean that other oil companies may not in the future market TML, but it does reflect the current status of interest in the product.
Conversations today with the Standard-Vacuum oil company indicate that their interest is now real and they hope to go ahead during July or August. I believe that your last conversations with those people indicated that there would be more delay than this, but the situation has changed.
I realize that you may not be able to follow my list exactly, but I hope it is helpful to indicate the order of priority. We expect to make our first shipments to Europe during July and to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa later during the same month. It is possible that you may be able to initiate some correspondence on the matter before leaving for Europe. If I have any additions to the list during this week, I will get in touch with you by phone.
Very truly yours,
