GAP T/NA 100' Insulation and T/NA 100s Vapor Barrier-- A Simplified Solution to Insulation Jacketing Problems
GAP T/NA 100 INSULATION JACKETING Gap T/NA tOOjacKetmg represents a major break-througn in me field of insulation. II is the firs; and only flexible, !ire-resis:a.".t jacketing wnic.n provides unparalleled resistance to outcocr weamenng. Its llexipility, workability, and versatility simplifies application, reduces installation cosis. ano makes it effective for covering large tank units as well as for protecting extended pipelines.
t/na 100 multipurpose insulation jacketing combines asbestos fioer. an inorganic material of established curaoii.ty and flame resistance, with Tediar a unique PVF Mm This film is laminated to the asbestos felt with an eiastomenc achesive. initial peel pond strengths between me film ar.s asbestos feu average 600 grams per men of wicttv After two years (tested in Florida at *5* South) the cono strergtn is unchanged. Accelerated weatnerometer testing (3.000 hours) also reveals no cnange in bond strength.
GAP T/NA 100 VAPOR BARRIER T/NA 100 Vapor Barrier provides a finished laminate of T/NA 100 insulation and 0.001 men Saran him mat nas an the desirable properties of T/na.100 plus a 'c.v moisture vapor oermeap.-iry of 0.05 perms. Saran is a vmyiicene chlpnce vinyl chloride ccociymer film known for its low moisture ano gas permeability, strength, excellent aging, negligible water aosorpnon and chemical resistance.
CHEMICAL PROPERTIES GAP T/na 100 jacketing and T/NA 100 Vapor Barrier have ex: * ent resistance to a variety of enemieais. The laminate v.as unaffected after two weeks immersion (at room temperature) in the following chemicals: ammonium nycroxiee (cone.), methanol. Varsol #1. carbon tetrachloride, gasoline, perchloroethyiene; and 10% selutions of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and sodium hydroxide. The laminate was also unaffected aTer being immersed in water for one year.

GAF T/NA 100 JACKETING FIELD APPLICATION SPECIFICS
Fiexible -Touch and flexible over a wiae temperature range from --50*F to 200*F.
Flame fles/sranr-Vinually incombustible. T/NA 100 jacxenng has been tested anc labeled by Uncerwriters' Laboratories with a Flame Spread Rating of 25.
Weather fles/sfanf-Jacketing's exposed Tedlar surface is essentially unaffected by ultra-violet tight: will not craze or eroce on exposure in industrial atmospheres.
Chemical and Solvent Resistant--Jacketing retains both form and strength when boiled in strong acids and bases: unaffected at ordinary temperatures by common solvents, including hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents; impermeable to greases and oils: strength and appearance unaffected by soil bacteria.
Designed lor Multipurpose Use -Flexibility permits use over large areas as well as narrow diameter pipelines.
1. Scope Th-s specification covers field application cf T/ NA 100 Irsuiaticn Jacketing on rigid insulating materials such as calcium silicate, cellular glass and glass fiber, urethane anc polystyrene foam.

3. Plpa Insulation Application Pipe 'nsulation shall be applied in stancard approved manner with precautions taken to eliminate projections cl bancs or wires above the surface of the insulation. Or. liras operating above 600*F insulation shall be applied in double layer with all joints staggered.
Puncture and Abrasion Resistant -Tough Tedlar surface is designed to withstand wear and tear.
Easy to Repair-Damage through abuse can be readily repaired by patching with T/NA 100* Finishing Tape.
Neat Appearance -Jacketing has a smooth finish and is an attractive bright white color.
Savings in Installation-Wraps easily into position and may pe secured with an ordinary staple gun.
4. Pice Jacketing Application
The T/NA tOO Jacketing shall be cut into sheets appropriate to the insulation size with an allowance for a 2-'neh minimum lap joint Each sheet of jacketing shall be acpliec sr.ugly to the insulation with an overlap of the aciaosnt Sheet being a minimum of 2 inches. On horizontal lines the lap shall be installed sp that water runs over me lap joint rather than into it. Cn vertical lines the overlap should be outside the sheet below it.
Metr.cd A-Apply a uniform bare c' ;he selected lap adhesive a minimum of 2 inches wiae :p the asbestos face of me jacketing at the rate of 450:: 500 lineal feet per gallon. Position jacketing into place on the insulation ar s press laps together firmly to assure gooc contact art check for tight seal. o.' Method 8-Apply 2*inch T/NA IOC Finishing Tape te all iacs. Rub tape firmly after application to insure gcoc contact c.. Me:rzo C-Fcr hot lines only. Secure jacketing with aluminum bands on 6-inch centers.
