Dusty Johnson: No DOT Funds for Sanctuary Cities Act Hi Abigail and Miles -- Reaching out to bring your attention to a bill Rep. Dusty Johnson is planning to introduce soon that I think would highly be of Sec. Duffy's interest! This bill prohibits the Department of Transportation from providing any federal funding to sanctuary cities. It also includes a waiver process, allowing the Secretary to issue a case-by-case waiver. This idea is specifically included in Secretary Duffy's priorities, and it is in line with his comments from the past few weeks. We would love to support his efforts in Congress. Bill text is attached. We're open to suggestions on how to improve this legislation. We'd love to get your thoughts on the text, and see if we could coordinate press on this bill.
