Kei 1: Tlie West Virginia Department of Health is presently conducting a ,-ur\ev of the disposal of hazardous wastes and has requested the assistance of this agency to obtain and furnish certain information regarding the quanti ties of waste materials burned in fuel burning units, incinerators, and/or flares in your plant. The compounds or elements of concern are as folLows: I. ORGANIC WASTES: II. METALS: 1) waste oils 2) phenols 3) chlorinated hydrocarbons 4) alcohols 1) chromium 2) lead 3) beryllium 4) zinc 5) cadmium 6) arsenic 7) antimony 8) potassium 9) sodium As we are also interested in this information, I am, therefore, re questing that you furnish such information to this agency under the authority granted to the Director by the Code of West Virginia. The data is to be supplied as soon as possible, but not later than thirty days from the date of this letter. Please supply the information requested in the following format: 11 Identity and list the quantity of each process waste in pounds per hour that is burned in each fuel burning unit, incinerator, or flare, at your plant. This should be supplied on a maximum pounds/hour basis and on an annual basis. If there is a marked seasonal variation please so note.
