September 8, 19G9 To: MANAGEMENT During the past year both our Churubusco Distribution Center and Hagerstown Distribution Center have been handling the same lines of merchandise but shipping to different groups of customers. It's our feeling that a common management will provide customers with proper service and yet result in more efficient operation. Therefore, effectiveimmediately, we are placing the responsibility for managing both of these Distribution Centers with Bill Heywood, General Manager of Wholesale Parts Division. Under this plan, both Plant Managers will report directly to Heywood. Fred Macfee's Parts Craft Division will continue to " be fully responsible for all matters having to do with marketing and parentage assignments on cataloging, pricing and application engineering. .... 1 am sure you will work closely with both of these men in furthering this new service concept.
