Spotland, Rochdale Dear Mr. Shepherd: Subject: Saranac Laboratory Asbestos Dust Experiments I have pleasure in finally sending you herewith a copy of the completed report entitled "Asbestos Pneumoconiosis" ' dated January 31, 1949, the work covering which was started about eleven years ago by the late Dr. Leroy U. Gardner and completed by Dr. Arthur J. Vorwald of The Trudeau Foundation, Saranac Laboratory. In my opinion the report covering the effects of asbestos dust upon animals (other than human beings) is interesting and enlightening.
