INSULATION OF CHLORINE GAS PIPELINE TO AREA A Fluor is requested to evaluate the Insulation of the Chlorine Gas Pipeline from the discharge of the Chlorine Compressor to the Area A liquefaction Area. Chlorine cannot be permitted to condense in the line between these two points. (Only a small portion of this line is in Fluor's battery limits). Previously the Lake Charles Plant has used foam glass insulation and steam tracing to assure no chlorine condensation in the gas pipeline (overhead in piperacks) from Area A to Area B. Fluor should recommend to PPG the type of insulation to use, the thickness of in~ sulation and steam tracing requirements, if any. Fluor should contact(R. E. Jacobi/ (PPG) if any question arise.
