There's no one perfect material to kill in sects today--without danger to humans or animals or crops. But Du Pont has now come closer to the ideal with "Marlate" methoxychlor insecticide. It has many of the cardinal virtues for such a product.

Americans like bipiess. Most towns hope to grow larger. When n man starts out in business, it goes without saying that he hopes his business will grow. We agree pretty generally in the United States that this is a healthy view point. And some ittle towns do grow, do become big towns. Zoological Garden.
Although 1949 marks the Diamond Jubilee ofthis
famous institution, it hm not been allowed to fall
behind the times. There are more than 1500 specimens
here today, in contrast with the 282 animals exhibited
on the opening day, July 1, 1874. Besides boasting
.many modern buildings and some of the newest math- .
ods of exhibiting animals, it is one of two zoological

Isabelle dePeyster Hunt began her work as staff photographer in September 1942. Since then many fine animal shots have won her a respected place in her field. The problems she encounters in "shooting"
the mammals, birds and reptiles are very unusual,
for they require patience and understanding demanded
by few other jobs. Monkeys, hippos and tigers are
not easy subjects; they won't sit still and pose for
their portraits. However, Du Pont products--"De
fender" photographic films and papers--help make
her "shooting"" and darkroom'"work 'easier, . ;

Fabricated by Steiner Plastics Mfg. Co., Long Island City, N. Y., from 3/16" opaque red "Lucite" sheeting. Sign is 4 feet high, 6 feet wide, 4 inches deep at greatest depth. Mounted with bolts through "Lucite" brackets to exterior walls of SoconyVacuum service stations. Sign is single-faced, without backing. No illumination.
