Good morning,
I'm a producer with Discovery Channel Canada on a show called Daily Planet. We cover science and technology stories all over the world for our daily one-hour science program.
I've been reading about the EPA's flights currently to sniff for chemicals in the aftermath of Harvey. It sounds like critically important work, and must have amazing technology on board and skilled scientists tackling the hunt. We'd be very, very interested in profiling this work on our program in a 5-7 minute documentary feature.
I've included links to a Daily Planet story to give you a sense of how we tell our stories and the quality of our work. This one was filmed after flooding in Alberta with a company pumping a community dry.
In the past, I've flown surveillance with NOAA in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy over Atlantic City, and hope to be doing a similar story with them at this time. We have several stories we're pursuing and hope to be in Houston filming as soon as the emergency evacuation order is lifted and is feasible.
Could you let me know if there is some interest in this? I'm a Canadian national and will likely be travelling with one of our staff cameramen, which I know presents a layer of approvals and checks.
I'd like to speak about this with you at your earliest convenience. Could you please give me a call as soon as
possible? My cell is
Ex. 6
