As you can imagine, one of the program s which we discussed at some length was that on tetram ethyllead. During the discussions it became evident that there are quite a few gaps in our background, and on the regulations in existence at the present time in various countries outside of the United States as to the use of tetraethyllead. As you know, we have received a num ber of inquiries lately from some of our custom ers as to what might be expected in various countries with re g a rd to the procedure on getting p ro p er clearance to use tetram ethyllead. Since you a re the only person with this background, 1 wonder if we could presum e upon your busy schedule to ask you to dictate a b rie f resume* of the status of tetraeth y llead in the m ajor countries outside the United States and what, in your opinion, would be the p ro cedure if and when it would be appear to be desirable to get approval of the use of tetram eth y llead .
