As mentioned in your press statement the European Commission recently adopted the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. In parallel, we are also working on a proposal to ensure that additional information to be required under the REACH Registration process will allow the identificationofsubstances as endocrine disruptors. We will also review and strengthen information requirements across legislation (e.g. cosmetic products, food contact material, plant protection products and biocidal products) to allow the identificationofendocrine disruptors in relevant legislations. The timeline of the different actions is available in the Annex to the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. In particular, in 2021 the Commission will make a proposal to add endocrine disruptors to the CLP Regulation. Regarding the update of data requirements in the REACH Regulation. the Commission will make a proposal in 2022.
