As long as the mastic is non-friable, we recommend open air\reVfernovin ! within a clearly marked regulated area be performed and that the mastic be double-bagged in asbestos labeled bags. We recommend that abatement personnel wear Tyvek protective clothing, minimum of a half-face respirator, and that 25% of the abatement crew be moni tored. We also recommend that area monitors be placed around the perimeter, upwind,, downwind, and within the regulated area.
