RESD staff met with Texaco OSA Public Relations personnel last month and are planning td meet with Corporate Public Relations staff this month to establish strategy in communicating results of the Texaco Mortality Study and the American Petroleum Institute Study oh used motor oil. ! , . The possibility of adverse publicity regarding the NIOSHCytogenetic Study at the Neches Chemical Plant has been reduced Somewhat since the agency has agreed to the stipulations Texaco Chemical made in order for the study to begin. NIOSH no longer considers a search warrant necessary. Additional details on this and other related material will be forthcoming in the near future.
