Dear E d : ~ I.have just had an inquiry from Doctor Davison, whom you will , remember a3 the physician at the British plant, inquiring as to the form'-, type and construction of the air filter used at the inlet of the compressor which supplies the air for airline masks . This reminds me that this particular problem has not been solved, practically ,to my satisfaction, and although the filters at .the individual buildings may be satisfactory , i still think that we should use appropriate and adequate filters on the intake side. .. I would appreciate it very much indeed if you would give me the benefit of your ideas on this subject, if you bring this matter to the further attention cf the appropriate people, and let me know what comes oat of the discussion. X feel sure that the infor mation you and your associates nave obtained anent the using of filter-3 on the entering air of the Laboratory , would serve the purpose I have in mind. Anything you may choose to give me on thi3 point I will be glad to have and I should like to have it with the idea of passing it on to our British friends. Ko doubt whatever is given them will be examined critically and tried out. Therefore, if you do not want to take the responsibility for recommending a practice which is not actually in use at Baton Rouge, you can give me any information and opinions which you consider pertinent, and I will pass them along primarily as a basis for trial and error rather than as an established result of Baton Eouge experience.
