Dear Dr. L'achle: This will acknowledge your letter of October 29th. You might be interested to know that John Schaefer
and I took some samples from the low pressure side of the ed uctor (out of a tee on the line running to the gauge) at one of our plants, in Wilmington. I have just received a letter from Join in which he states that the present tetraethyl lead
by gravimetric analysis ran as high as 25^ {Z2% fluid). The
results were not uniform and we have not been able' to support them by theory.
I plan to go over the results with John and it is quite likely we will- take additional samples.
Very truly yours.
