Stoner, of Canton, I examined Mr. on June 15th, 1935, who had just returned from Clinic. Mr. HfMBMBBBl past history shows that while working at the Timken Boiler Bearing Company, in Canton, he developed pain and numbness of both feet- the left one being mors pronounced than the right, ulcers of both limbs and ankles and numbness of the arms and hands. The trouble becoming more alarming, after doctoring ^uthonysicians in Canton, Pittsburgh, and other nearby cities, Uxwas obliged, in 1928, to quit his woik and went to Idra^ospTtal, Detroit, for examination and treatment. They diagnosed the trouble as lead poisoning, as was also the diagnosis of other physicians. His trouble became more serious asi time went on and in 1932, with gangrene in the great toe of his RIGHT foot, was advised by a Pittsburgh physician, to go to Mayo Clinic where he was given treat ment and a lumbar sympathectomy performed on him. In 1933, he was gmven further treatment for limbs and hands, and a curvioal sympa thectomy was performed. Due to continued extreme pain and gan grenous ulcers, it was found necessary to amputate his left limb, about five or six inches below the knee, on June 23th 1934. Since that time the right foot and limb have become involved ana after examination at the Mayo Clinic June 9th and 10th, amputatio n of the right foot was advise-:. Mr. returned to Canton June 11th and uron examination on Jun35, by Dr. L. D. Stoner of this City ana myself, we advised Mr. that we concurred with Mayo's suggestion, inasmuch as .iHi5WBBBx3Wea.2cchi. work on the left foot amputated last Summer showed that the blood vessels especially the mai^ones^^ showed degeneration to complete closure. We told Mr.flHjV that we could not guarantee that this would remedy hi^^Wu^^^as it v.as possible that the trouble would occur in other parts of the boay inasmuch as his hands and arms and entire system seem to be affected. On June 19th, 1935, I amputated his right limb about five to six incnes below the knee. The circulatory system being as it is, the pain is more severe than in ordinary amputations and healing is difficult. Degeneration of blood vessels of this foot is the same as in the left foot* opinio.unu that it is possible if not probable that his condition i le ad poisoning as diagnosed in the early stages by Ford "spital, ana others.
