Benton August 9, 1988 AIR SAMPLING DURING ASBESTOS DEMOLITION The Industrial Hygiene directive dated July 28, 1988 concerning asbestos demolition and removal states that air sampling is required on all asbestos demolition/removal in order to assure the effectiveness of controls and work practices. In conversation with Homer Cole and Ron Benton, it vas stated that sampling did not have to be done on each and every job, but random sampling should be done to get an idea of whether or not our people are performing an adequate job in preventing the emlttance of asbestos fibers to the atmosphere during asbestos abatement. To comply with Che directive, ve should sample at random at least one job per month.
