They are awaiting delivery of Experimental 13468 from Abex which shipped 261-1 and 261-2. They are also evaluating Abex 987-6 non-asbestos material in this application. They could immediately release 734-161 and 38-27E based on previous testing, however, the writer discouraged * this stating that we would not expand the use of this combination due to the lead content of the secondary lining. Preliminary investigation of 987-6 indicates encouragement to them and they are awaiting additional dynamometer time. Experimental 13352 has supplied formulation 931-222 in a 9-l/2M x 2" and 180 x 30 size. This is for the 'F* car. Experimental 13424 submitted 987-6 in a 225 x 45 size for 1983 'A' car wagon and 'B' and 'C' car rear drtuiT'brake work.
