Pavorito All of us have shared a common concern about Material Safety Data Sheets connected with Concentrate or expanied Vermiculite from the Kearney Mill. Our problem has been that our own analysis has shown rather high percentages of contaminants. In the case of the Mat erial Safety Data Sheets, on the concentrate, we elected to show the percentage by weight, in spite of the fact that the numbers are uncamfor- y tably large. In the case of the expanded products, we eliminated the ' percentage by weight. However; we agreed that if we were pushed to an swer the question, we would have to state the results of our analysis which would show Zonolite Concrete Aggregate #4 size and Masonry Fill #4 size as- containing as much as 3% contaminants. It was my feeling that sales might like a "supporting y. white paper" to help resolve any negatives that might be generated by our full disclosure of information. Attached is a proposed draft which has been approved by O.M. Pavorito for legal implications and by H. C. Duecker for technical correctness. If there is a consensus on your part that white paper will be helpful, we could have it reproduced and made available to those who will be making customer contacts.
