PROPOSED WORK AND COST
Funds of _________________________________________________________$8000 are requested to fabricate and install a sheet metal enclosure for the carbonate drum dryer.
PRESENT SITUATION Basic lead carbonate budgeted for 1.24 m lbs. in 1984 must be
processed thru the plants only steam double drum dryer. The drum dryer enclosure installed in 1937 has deteriorated
with age to a point where it can no longer be repaired. Large openings emit dust to the work area which add to the plants in dustrial hygiene problems of air borne lead dust concentrations.

This is a replacement of a physically exhausted dust enclosure. The replacement will reduce airborne lead dust, and thus help to reduce lead blood levels. The new enclosure will present an im proved appearance and aid in plant housekeeping.
DETAILS OF PROPOSAL The present enclosure will be scrapped. A new sheet metal en
closure will be fabricated and installed.
PRODUCTION FACTORS This proposal will not alter product quality or production rates
CONTINGENT FUTURE COMMITMENTS The proposal will not require additional funds to complete.
