Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 Air Enforcement Branch 61 Forsyth Street, SW Atlanta, Georgia 30303 INSPECTION REPORT Facility Inspected 991 Cobb Parkway, South Marietta, Georgia 30060 Inspection Date: March 21, 2024 Facility Programmatic ID 3601643949 LAT: 33.9279 LON: -84.5077 Inspection Type Clean Air Act (CAA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) - Asbestos Inspectors Pamela Storm Introduction An inspection pursuant to Section 114 of the CAA was conducted on March 21, 2024, at 991 Cobb Parkway South in Marietta, Georgia 30060 (the Facility). The unannounced inspection was conducted by Pamela Storm and Tony Spann who possess EPA inspector credentials to conduct CAA NESHAP asbestos inspections. The inspectors discovered that demolition had occurred at the Facility by obtaining a copy of Permit #2023022286 issued by the City of Marietta on January 17, 2024, for the demolition of a building. The permit was obtained by A & M Contracting, Grist Mill Drive, Acworth, Georgia 30101. The activity had been completed as of the time of this inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to determine compliance with the CAA NESHAP Asbestos Standard and the regulations promulgated at 40 CFR Part 61, Subpart M, for the demolition activity conducted at the Facility. The EPA Region 4 CAA NESHAP asbestos program targets facilities for inspection located in the State of Georgia based on tips/complaints; permits issued on a local level; demolition and/or renovation/abatement notices sent to the State; and other relevant information concerning renovation/demolition activities at regulated facilities. This inspection was conducted based on the aforementioned permit for demolition activity at the Facility. Facility Information The facility appears to be a used car lot. Inspection Inspection Upon arrival at the Facility, the EPA inspectors observed that the Facility appeared to be a used car lot. There was no sign or anyone present at the Facility. EPA inspectors could not determine exactly where demolition had occurred at the Facility. There was minimal brick/concrete debris on the ground. Permit #2023-022286, obtained by A & M Contracting, indicated that a one-story building was to be demolished. No demolition activity was occurring at the time of this inspection.
