Sample #1 This sample was found to contain approximately 3% chrysotile asbestos by both x-ray diffraction and light microscopy. The presence of asbestos was verified by McCrone Associates (see attachment). Sample #2 This sample was found to consist of gypsum, quartz and anhydrite. In addition,isotropic fibers similar to mineral wool were seen under the optical microscope. No trace of either serpentine or amphibole asbestos was found.
