This report documents technical information that support* ; business decision to remove oencer hasard labels from latex product* containing vinyl chloride monomer. Controlled sxporiaante in s eloaed, unventilated room relate ambient concentrations of vinyl chloride monomer (KfCH) to residual vinyl chloride monomer (KVCM) in stripped vinyl latexes. Ccsmmrclel letex consuming operation* here also been analysed to estimate work place Avc*. Measurements were mode by personnel monitoring in one of these operations. Oir current standard of 23ng/ltg maxima KVCM (wet beeia) for vinyl latex product* la well within the necessary limit for ccamllanoe to standard* daacxibed by the Occupational Safety and health Administration (OIU).

is calculated from the flow rate, exposure time and concentration

measured by means of a soap bubble flow motor and a stopwatch.
