A Our records on medical surveillance for lead exposure show that urine samples were sent to the Industrial Hygiene lab in the Dep<irtment of Preventative medicine and Public Health at UTMB for analys is. This was done between November 28, 1951 and December 20, 1955. The reports were signed by Jack Neal the director of the laboratory. It is possible that Marvin Legator could have been working in the lab at the time. I have no personal recollection of any contract work ihat he may have done. Dr. Roy Joyner or Dr. Carl Dernehl, my predecessors may have some knowledge relative to this if it is important enough to fo low upon. Dr. Legator was quite vocal to the press and televisi on about five years ago when Texas City was in the limelight during our ! train tumor epidemiology studies.
