Dear Dr. Sayres:
Referring to your recent letter enclosing copy of draft of Agreement for work to be underr | taken by you, we have taken up this matter with i the Rthyl Gasoline Corporation, recently formed, which will through Dr. Thompson, handle investiga tions of this kind and they feel that the proposed contract which you sent us should be modified in
two respects; first that a maximum expense should be included in the contract, as well as a minumura, > and second, that before publication of any papers or articles, by your Bureau, they should be sub| mitted to them for comment, criticism and approval. | I feel quite sure that these changes will be agree! able to you. In case they should not, however, I would appreciate you advising me by wire.
The contract will be taken up for formal approval, in case we receive no objection from you, at a meeting of the Directors of the corporation on Wednesday next. I would therefore appreciate your early comments.
'Yours very truly,
