would be exposed to the Inhalation of Asbestoepray fibers at a concentration that might result in ii--.^cr
t or damage to lung tissue* The testa were established to represent actual field conditions. Product was sprayed for 20 minutes before air samples were collect ed. Air samples were collected at head level at the spray operators station. Simultaneous air samples were also collected 20 feet behind the spray operator in line perpendicular to tne surface being sprayed.
The collected sir samples were analysed for the presence of respirable-sire Asbestospray fibers. Air samples were collected for 10-minute periods using the approved Greenberg-Smith Impinger technique. Air sam ples were collected in triple distilled water with three percent ethanol added to prevent flocculation of dust fibers in collected sample. A dust count was con ducted in the standard manner using a Khipple disc in a 15X microscope eyeplace and a 10X objective in the microscope. The dust counts ware made in a JXinn cell.

Summary
The results of this Investigation show that the threshold level of five million particles per cubic foot of air was not exceeded at the spray operator's breathing zone or at distances of 20 feet from the operator* The threshold level for the inhalation of asbestos fibers may be tolerated for e-hour days, day in and day out, without danger of producing changes in lung tissue. The results of tests show that no health hazard exists from the inhalation of asbestos fibers under the conditions of these tests as above outlined.
