LOCATION: Portland r; Because of the many problems with the Ready-Mix material primarily being shipped to the New Orleans branch we would like to change the New Orleans branch to the Marietta JointSystem plant from Acme temporarily to see if we can solve some of our problems which have been high damage because of rail shipments from Acme, pail variation in weight and being full, and the general product quality from the Acme mill. You will find that the Marietta ReadyMix is without question a top quality product and the All Purpose material, which is a starch base, is also very well accepted. The shipment by truck from Marietta should solve our damage problem which has been tremendous at New Orleans. I plan on being at the New Orleans branch along with Gene O'Neill and Dave Corkill on Wednesday, June 3 to further go over this change with the branch personnel to make sure we have no problem with mixing the materials from Acme and Marietta.
