Scott Pruitt was confirmed as the 14th Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in February of last year.
Administrator Pruitt has spearheaded over two dozen significant regulatory reforms worth over $1 Billion in savings his first year at EPA.
All told, EPA has issued more deregulatory actions than any other federal agency in the first year of the Trump presidency.
When he isn't running a robust deregulatory agenda in D C s, he has made it a priority to leave Washington and embrace cooperative federalism; Administrator Pruitt has visited nearly 35 states and has met or worked with 34 governors

Pruitt' significant accomplishments in year one include working with President Trump to rescind 2015 WOTUS and the Clean Power Plan, reforming EPA's scientific advisory boards to ensure geographic diversity and integrity and ending the agency's 'Sue and Settle' practices.
Administrator Pruitt inherited a backlog of more than 700 SIPs. Since March 2017, EPA has taken final action on more than 350 SIPs. The Obama Administration imposed more than 50 FIPs on states - about 10 times the number of FIPs imposed by the three previous administrations combined. Since March 2017, EPA has turned an average of one FIP into a SIP every month.
Prior to serving in the Trump Administration, Pruitt served as Attorney General of Oklahoma.
Pruitt played baseball at the University of Kentucky, earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown College and received his law degree from the University of Tulsa. He and his wife Marlyn have been married for 27 years and proudly raised their two children in Tulsa.

The Administrator's bio on EPA.gov is quite comprehensive. Rather than have us guess on what you'd most want to highlight and potentially guess wrong, we thought the best thing might be for you to send us the couple of sentences you'd like us to include.
