Subject: RE: AVERE - PFAS restriction: a or exempting EV attenes
Dear
Thanks for reaching out to us and for sending the document on the potential impact of banning PFAS for the EV batteries industry.
I have noticed that AVERE contributed to the consultation organized by the European Chemicals Agency with respect to the restriction dossier as submitted by Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. I highly appreciate your active participation. ECHA will carefully assess all information received during this consultation. ECHA will also communicate when and how they will organize the discussion on the different uses in the Committee meetings.
In line with the applicable procedural rules, the European Chemicals Agency's Committees must finalise their opinions before the Commission can decide on the scope of the restrictions on PFAS. Nevertheless, we would welcome to organize a meeting with you (either in person or online). Given the full calendars coming weeks, I would like to suggest meeting in the week of 8-12 July.
I have included the colleagues from DG ENV working on this file in copy of this email.
Kind regards,
