My dear Dr. Drinkers Two years ago when I visited the Harvard School for Industrial Hygiene I recall discussing with you the possibility of some pre-test for lead poisoning which would enable us to weed out individuals who were markedly susceptible. Conditions have now changed so that it will be possible for us to put in compulsory medical examination of our employees and I am very anxious to be able to guard against the employment of those who are particularly susceptible, or, at any rate, to be sure of not putting them at work where they would be liable to be poisoned.
