Analysis of samples from Pond 12 shows no detectable levels of PCB's; therefore Chemical Waste Management has Ohio EPA's approval to resume injection of aqueous wastes. The company must continue monitoring the aqueous waste for the presence of PCB's. Ohio EPA will re-evaluate this authorization within 30 days in light of Chemical Waste Management's compliance with the orders issued on March 31 of this year. The authorization may be rescinded at any time. It is our understanding that Chemical Waste Management will provide Ohio EPA and U.S. EPA with a status report on its progress in development of a compre hensive sampling plan by April 15, 1983. . Chemical Waste Management has raised the question of how "oily" is to be defined for purposes of the company's criteria in accepting waste. Ohio EPA is satisfied with the 5% cutoff proposed by Chemical Waste Management, provided that an appropriate sampling method is used.
