Johnstone, concerning an employee of this company whose duties involve cleaning tank cars. There is also attached a report from the Manager of the Safety Department. Mr.^^| was examined by me and referred to Dr. Johnstone. Following his examination. Dr. Johnstone and I discussed the case in detail and were of the opinion that there was a potential hazard in this cleaning operation, even though we could demonstrate no evidence of occupational disease in the employee. Knowing of your long experience in matters of this kind, Dr. Johnstone and I thought that it would be helpful to have your opinion with regard to Mr. Chenault's statement concerning sludge deposits from mobile equipment carrying Tetra Ethyl gasoline.
