I shall do vhat I oan to advise Mr. Bevan as to vhat may be done by v&y of precau tionary measures. I wish to correct one point in your comments on the dangers involved in handling leaded gasoline. Despite vhat has been Implied in the generally promulgated regulations for handling leaded gasoline, there is no practical hazard of lead absorptioa involved in having such gasoline (containing only the normal concentrations in commercial and military aviation fuels) in contact with the skin. The base gasoline is somewhat in jurious to the skin and may produce b u m s and dermatitis, but the lead absorption is so slight as not to be measurable over quite long periods of time.
