We would appreciate several ^aysT.3ho`t;ice' prior to the asbestos removal.- 1. Industrial hygiene will perform the initial-monitoring to determine airborne- concentrations of asbestos. . 2. These areas'must be established as,a regulated^area. Only authorized personnel may enter regulated areas;.; No smoking/ eating or drinking is permitted . in'^regulated areas. Warning signs must be posted at^ailJapproaches to regulated/areas. The sections of changihouse^being.used for changing and showers must be sealed off /from .the asbestos removal. - ...s; 3. The use of wet methods and proper containment is required in preparing the lines for cutting. The ends of asbestos insulated lines must be encapsulated before removal from the building. 4. Supplied-air respiratory protection is' required and the program must be in accordance with the General Industry Respiratory Protection Standard 29 CFR 1910.134. 5. The contract workers are required to wear disposable Tyvek clothing over disposable work clothing. The Tyvek clothing must be removed prior to smoking/ eating or drinking. 6. A changehouse facility must be provided with appropriate clean room and decontamination area facilities. Showers are mandatory at the end of the workshift. A training program on asbestos will be presented by industrial hygiene to all contract workers. 9.
